Record High: How We Made Attaching Images in myMail for iOS Real Easy

According to myMail internal statistics, 80% of files sent via email are images. We, too, send dozens of templates, prototypes, and screenshots every day. Naturally, we wanted to make such a common use case more convenient, — so we did. As a result, sending photos and videos via our iOS app is much quicker and more convenient than via our competitors’ apps. For example, you only need to make five taps in myMail to attach three photos to a message. This is 10 taps less than in Gmail and as much as 13 less than in Apple Mail. Both Android and iOS have default email clients, and, admittedly, they are okay — for somebody who does not use email very often. However, if you check your email on your phone or tablet even once a week, you will certainly not be satisfied with a pre-installed app that “can do everything, but on a basic level.” Using a default email client is like eating with a plastic fork from a paper plate: you could suffer through it, but why should you? Especially when you know there is convenient tableware out there (and user-friendly and powerful email apps).

Five Tips for Your @my.com Email Account

Now that you have a myMail @my.com email address, here are some tips to help you get the most out of your account.

Tip #1 – Create folders
Your @my.com account comes with standard folders: Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Spam and Trash. However, you can create additional folders for storing read email and for filtering incoming email directly to folders (you’ll see why this is a good thing in tip #3).

Settings > Folders > Choose Account
Choose your @my.com account. Select the + sign and give your folder a name. Select OK. Your folder now appears in the list of folders. At any time you can edit the folder name or delete the folder. Deleting a folder will delete all messages in that folder so you will be prompted to confirm the deletion.
